What Is Hotmail Trusted? What Every Buyer Should Know
Many folks in the MMO space know Hotmail/Outlook, but not everyone understands why some cost $0.10 while others go up to $1+. I've been using these since 2019, so here's what I've picked up.
What does "Trusted" actually mean?
Simply put, Microsoft sees the account as reliable. It's been around long enough (usually 12-36 months), hasn't been reported for spam, and behaves normally. When you use a trusted mail, your inbox rate is higher and services are less likely to flag you.
OAuth2 vs IMAP — which is better?
People ask me this all the time. It's not about "better" — it's about what you need it for:
- OAuth2 (Graph): Works with Microsoft Graph API — great for automated tools that send/read mail via API. Most expensive.
- IMAP/POP3: Standard protocol, most tools support it. Medium price, covers 80% of use cases.
- With phone + recovery: Phone number and recovery mail added — longest lifespan since you can always recover.
Common mistakes I see beginners make
1. Sharing IP across multiple mails — Microsoft catches this fast. 1 proxy = 1-2 mails max.
2. Not changing password after buying — Seller might still have the old credentials.
3. Using VN IP on a US mail — Triggers "unusual activity" immediately.

My personal approach
I usually buy IMAP with 2FA, around $0.30-0.50 each. I use them for service registration and verification emails for FB/IG. Don't go too cheap — mails under $0.10 usually die within days.
💡 Tip: Before buying in bulk, always test 2-3 first. Check if you can log in and if sent emails hit the inbox.
